To make sure your swim belt fits correctly, follow the guide below:

1. Place the belt at the waist with the buckle forwards and lock the buckle
   
2. Then tighten the belt tightly at the loose end for an optimal and snug fit
   
3. Pass the loose end through the securing tab and pull it tight
4. To remove the swim belt, open slider 1 and press lock 2 together.
   

As the above guide explains, this swim belt has a built-in double-locking system that ensures that the kid to a large extent cannot unbuckle the swim belt and risk being left without a swim belt.
